Will convert your 110 vlt Kirby vacuum to 220volt Kirby vacuum. make sure your Kirby vacuum is one of following models:
- Kirby G3
- Kirby G4
- Kirby G5
- Kirby Gsix
- Kirby Ultimate G
- Kirby Sentria
Kirby Ultimate G Diamond edition also will accept this motor but the switch lowering speed can not work with this motor without modifications. We have not done research on what has to be done to make the switch work so we would just recommend to cut wires near the switch and leave it in the shell just to cover the hole in the aluminum shell.
How do we do it?:
We take 110 volt motors and ship them to a specialized shop for rewinding. Old wires are cut off and recycled and the motor is rewound with new wires to work with 220 volt power supply.
When we get them back here we have them running on lower voltage for a while to get motor brushes break in and conform with the commutator surface. Once brushes have been seated we have the motor running at full speed for a while to make sure that motor is running properly.
