Kirby G3 vacuum cleaner motor parts are the same as for the later models such as Kirby G4, Kirby G5, Kirby G6, Kirby G7 (AKA Ultimate G) and so on.
G3 Kirby model was the first to have this design of the motor and it remained unchanged for now more than a decade and it had long enough record to conclude that this design was very durable and reliable.
Commutator brush life specified by manufacturer is 1000 hours. If you vacuum once a week and you have your Kirby vacuum running for about 1 hour , you should be able to use it for a little bit over 19 years.
It draws a maximum of 5.9 AMP and 712 watts of power so if you want to use it in a country where power supply is different you need a transformer for 1000 watts (just to be on the safe side) or you can order a 220 volt version motor from our shop.
