This Kirby Sentria vacuum cleaner was professionally serviced. It was taken apart to inspect tech drive, motor, slide bracket... Aluminum parts were buffed on a professional heavy-duty (2 horse power) buffer. We also installed new wheels, new wheel hub caps, new plastic trim, new brush roll and a new belt. Outer bag is washed or replaced as needed.
This is done to all Kirby vacuum cleaners no matter what condition they are in when we receive them. Other new parts may have been used if needed. To find out more about the rebuilding process that Kirby vacuums go through at our shop, please click HERE.
This listing includes Kirby vacuum with a manual, 2 disposable bags and an extra belt ONLY. If you need attachments, carpet shampoo system and any supplies we recommend getting them now so you may qualify for special price and/or combined shipping costs (occasionally free shipping).

| Pre-owned shampooer is very likely to match the Kirby color but new shampoo attachments we have only in gray.
If you have never used this shampooer we highly recommend reading the owners manual (included with Kirby vacuum). This is a simple and very effective unit but you have to learn how to use it and "common sense" will not be enough!

Description
- The newest Kirby vacuum model is Kirby Sentria, as of October 25, 2008. Not much different from its predecessors but still there are a few differences worth mentioning:
- Handle aluminum casting took a new - more organic shape and added more curves to the system.
- Nozzle bumper is a bit more massive on the sides of the nozzle - preserving the nozzle aluminum casting and also adding yet another curve.
- Headlight is truly stepping into 21st century - a circuit board with several LEDs will last you forever and will draw less electricity (though not by much) but still reducing the impact on the environment. Kirby Sentria headlight cap casting has oval hole to accommodate the oval shaped headlight lens.
- On Kirby Sentria model the cord is attached to the side of the cover shell. I am not sure exactly what the idea was behind that, but maybe it will save a few torn cord mounts and cords as it looks like there are no sharp angles-copper wires inside maybe are less likely to break.
Unfortunately long awaited solutions for the most annoying problems were not solved: You still will have to learn how to properly take off and put back the nozzle and what are the 2 positions for the brush roll. Also would be nice if Kirby had improved the way outer bag interacts with safety switch. One of the most popular service calls we get is when Kirby vacuum owners did not install the bag correctly and Kirby stopped working.
Overall - more complicated than the average department store vacuum cleaner but very versatile and durable durable durable!
If you can afford it - GO FOR IT!
