Kirby vacuum cleaner
VARIABLE SPEED SUCTION/BLOWER CONNECTOR
Will work with following Kirby sweeper models:
- Generation 5 (G5)
- Generation 6 (G6)
- Ultimate G (G7 or UG)
- Ultimate G Diamond Ed.(G7 or DE)
- Sentria (G10)
Kirby G3 and G4 models have a different gasket so this connector will not work.
How it works:
This is to be installed instead of the regular connector on the attachment hose.
ALL Kirby "Generation"series vacuums have 2 speeds. Lower speed is for vacuuming with the carpet nozzle attached to the unit and "high" - using attachment hose. Nozzle and hose simply press on different part of the safety switch that is in the front of the unit and this makes Kirby vacuum motor spin faster or slower.
This variable speed suction/blower connector has the pin that can be adjusted to press on the switch as if the nozzle would be attached so you can vacuum delicate things that may get damaged if vacuumed with Kirby running at "Full Throttle".
To replace:
Submerge the end into hot water (not too hot so you would be able to touch it) for about 30 seconds. The hose end will become soft enough to squeeze and get it out through the hole.
