Rainbow E2-series Two Speed Vacuum Main Motor Pump

This does NOT include the on-board computer "controller" OR the motor Gasket.
This is only for 2 speed E2 series vacuums.

This is pretty advanced piece of engineering. This motor uses no carbon motor brushes so less parts to wear out. There are only 4 coils that controlled by the computer. Sensor on the motor tells the computer what position the rotor is in precisely. Computer alternates electromagnetic field in the coils and field keeps pulling the rotor forward. It takes a few seconds for the motor to gain operating RPM and it sounds a little bit like a turbine.
