Instructions on how to access the filter:
  1. take off the tools
  2. remove the top round plastic ring / attachment holder
  3. remove the 4 inch top cap / cover
  4. remove three screws under the cap that hold in the metal ring
  5. lift out the metal ring / flange
  6. remove rubber gasket - cover from on/off switch lever
  7. unlatch the two side clamps / latches holding motor part to dirt container
the top will now come off...
