AquaMate - geared belt keep breaking
Last Updated: 03/08/2013
Problem:
We've replaced several belts on our Aquamate already and yet another one broke. What is wrong with our shampooer?
Possible Causes:
Carpet fibers, hair or pet fur get into the system.

Possible causes and solutions

Fibers, threads and hair from the carpet get between the belt and motor pulley. It stretches, heats up and eventually breaks the belt.

SOLUTION
Only thing you possibly could do is to vacuum the carpet as much as possible to get rid of loose fibers before you shampoo. However some carpets shed more fibers than others and there is not much you can do but keep replacing the belts.
